Book Description:
The bloody war between the Vampire Tribunal and the defiant scathe of Penton, Alabama, rages on, forcing its residents and their bonded humans to retreat into the underground fortress of last resort: Omega. There, Will Ludlam is charged with the care of Penton’s humans, though he longs to fight alongside his vampire brethren. He knows the risks: as the renegade son of the Tribunal’s vicious leader, Will’s capture could doom the resistance.
Yet he is determined to prove his worth to his adopted scathe, to his vengeful father and to former US Army officer Randa Thomas, his beautiful, reluctant partner. Randa has little faith that a former member of the vampire elite has what it takes to fight a war. But as their enemies descend upon Omega, Will’s polished charm and Randa’s guarded heart finally give way to the warrior within.
Fans of Susannah Sandlin’s Penton Legacy are sure to devour this long-awaited third installment of the steamy paranormal series.
Review
AHH!! I looooooove this series!!!!
I was so excited when I found out that Omega was going to be about Will. I gotta say, he’s always seemed like a deep character to me. I don’t know why. He was always the guy who made things light. HE is the kind of hero I love to read about.
Ms. Sandlin did an excellent job writing him. I fell in love with him. He just tries so hard to prove that he’s…worthy of the people he looks up to, that he’s not like his father. I guess, Ms. Sandlin just really struck a cord with me.
It was really nice to get to know Randa. She’s newly turned and has some learning to do. OH! I just love the fact that Ms. Sandlin’s vampires aren’t the kind I want to throttle! Seriously! If there were more vampire books like hers out on the market, I’d be willing to read more of them.
Experiencing the two of them coming closer together was great and really heart-touching. I’ve read a few romances that…didn’t touch my heart. They just left me scratching my head going, “What just happened here? Is your heart really made of stone?” Maybe, but not according to Ms. Sandlin. She awakens my heart every time!
The plot was amazing, of course! It had me flipping through the pages as quickly as I could! I can’t wait for the next book! I just can’t say enough good things about this series! It’s just amazing! Go read it! Now!

About the Author:
Susannah Sandlin is the author of paranormal romance set in the Deep South, where there are always things that go bump in the night. A journalist by day, Susannah grew up in Alabama reading the gothic novels of Susan Howatch and the horror fantasy of Stephen King. (Um…it is fantasy, right?) The combination of Howatch and King probably explains a lot. Currently a resident of Auburn, Alabama, Susannah has also lived in Illinois, Texas, California, and Louisiana.

Great to see such an excited review. I have read all three and they just get better with each book. Will and Randa’s story was wonderful. I recommend the series when I can. Buy the books guys, you will be in for a fun read. I agree with Frankie and give Omega a five. Thanks for your review.
YES! A fellow lover of this series! There are just so many things I loooooove about it! I can’t wait for the next one. But I haven’t heard mum about it. Man! I’m so eager! LOL!
You always have the best giveaways! Haha. I’ve been seeing this book around. Haven’t checked it out yet, but I think it’s about time, haha. I’m not always a fan of vampires, so we’ll have to see. (The only vamp stories I’ve ever liked were Buffy, Moonlight (for all of the one season it was on), and Twilight).
I’m not a vampire lover either! As a matter of fact, when people query me and there’s “vampire” anywhere in the blurb, I put it down. I think I picked this one up because of the cover and was pleasantly surprised that the vampire parts didn’t suck! LOL! From a fellow vampire hater, I still LOVE this series.
Okay, that makes me really excited! I’ve read a few blurbs lately that sounded soooooo good, but then that dang v-word shows up, haha. I’m looking forward to checking this out! And aren’t you punny, hehe.
*preens* I try hard. LMAO!
^^ thank you for this wonderful review. It’s true Will is trying so hard that we only can love him more for it.
i’m really glad we will get Cage in the next story and not vampire but still same quatlity we get aserial in the same universe that start in march so all reason to thank susannah and to keep reading her^^
What did I miss? We get Cage in the next one? Oh! That’s exciting! How in the world did I miss this? LOL!
Susannah is working on the story with Cage, a novella or book, probably self published. It will close up some loose ends. The serial is Storm Force. A spin-off from the Penton Legacy world, picking up after Omega. It will not have those characters we have already meet. Starting March 19 with episodes every two weeks thru mid-July.
P.S. After the e-serial is done it will be published in book form.
Oohhhhhhh!!! That’s EXCITING!! I’ll have to stay on top of that!
Thanks for the awesome review, Frankie, and the comments, guys! I noticed this morning that STORM FORCE is already up on Amazon, although the cover isn’t finalized. ***Sneaks back to writing***
What?! *dashes off to go check it out* Hmmm…A Kindle Serial huh? I need to research this. It could be fun! I can’t wait for the first episode to show up on my Kindle!

Enjoyed your review very much. Always a pleasure to see someone is as excited about an author or series as myself!
*grin* I can’t help being excited by good books! It just tickles me beyond belief when others share my excitement.
Sure sounds and looks creepy – right along the genre line. Interested just from the cover picture and the title.
It is a great cover! *grin*
Thanks for the awesome review. I really want to read this. I love the cover of the book also. Thanks again.
Be sure to read the previous books too! I will admit. The first one wasn’t my fave, but I still loved the elements. I think Ms. Sandlin was finding her feet with this series. BUT boy HOWDIE!! She sure found ‘em! So, yes! This series is a must read! *grin*
